Circleville Community Cleanup Local business owners are sponsoring a Main Street Cleanup and Pancake Breakfast. Those willing to help should bring gloves and meet at Mike's Arcade at 8:30am on Saturday, August 26th, where trash bags will be handed out. Participation in picking up any trash and weeds along Main Street will be rewarded with a pancake breakfast at the Community Center after the clean up is done. The cleanup is expected to take about an hour. Main Street Sidewalks If you haven't noticed, replacement of the crumbling sidewalk on the south side of Main street between 100 W and Center Street has begun. The project started last Friday on Sept 4th, and is scheduled to be completed by Sept 15th. The Main Street sidewalk replacement program was adopted several months ago to replace one block of sidewalk per year until all the old broken sidewalk is replaced along Main Street. Selection of which side to replace is based on the condition of the existing sidewalk.
Speed Limit Postings The new speed limit signs will be going up the week of Sept 7th on 470 N and 360 W. The speed limit will be posted at 25 MPH. Historic Livestock Trail Did you know that 470 N, from the Cemetery to the Stockyards, and 100 E from 470 N to Doc Springs Road are Historic Livestock Trails. These roads will be marked as such and have been used by cattle coming home off the mountain for many years. ![]() Town of Circleville Logo In the 4th of July parade, the town board appeared in caps with an embroidered version of the Circleville Welcome Sign on them. In August, the design was adopted as the official Town logo. |
