Public Notices PUBLIC NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETINGJanuary 6, 2010 Pursuant to section 52-4-6, Utah Code Annotated 1953, Circleville herby gives notice that the town council holds its regular meetings on the second Tuesday of each month starting at 6:PM during Mountain Standard Time and at 7:PM during Mountain Daylight Time, in the Circleville Community Center, 210 S Center, Circleville, Utah. PRESS RELEASEDecember 4, 2009 Town of Circleville to Expand Enterprise ZoneThe Town of Circleville is seeking approval to renew and expand the Enterprise Zone designation for local businesses through the Utah Department of Community and Economic Development. This continuing effort is to encourage relocating to, expanding or starting-up all types of businesses in the area. Under the Enterprise Zone program businesses may claim tax credits provided in the law. Some of these include credits for hiring more full-time employees, renewal of vacant properties and credits for investment in new equipment. This designation provides businesses located in the zone with state income tax and operating tax credits and technical assistance from state economic development professionals. The Enterprise Zone does not conflict with land use zoning and has the potential to benefit the community by providing jobs and adding to the tax base. This continuing effort is to encourage the relocation, expansion, or start-up of recycling-based businesses in the area. The Recycling Market Development Zone (RMDZ) is a State program focused on increasing the number of recycling-based business in Utah, especially those using recycled materials in their manufacturing. This designation provides businesses located in the zone with state income tax and operating tax credits and technical assistance from state recycling and economic development professionals. The RMDZ does not conflict with land use zoning and has the potential to benefit the community by providing jobs and adding to the tax base.
