13. Circleville High School / Piute High School

Construction of a new high school on Center Street began in 1919.

The new yellow brick building was finished in 1921-22. It was called Circleville High School. The name of the school was changed to Piute High School when students from neighboring towns started attending. Soon it became apparent that more classrooms were needed. A gymnasium was built on the property behind the high school in 1928. In 1961, the school district consolidated Marysvale High School and Piute High School into one school in Junction, Utah. This brought all Piute County students, along with Antimony and Koosharem students together for secondary education.
