Ken Dalton opened a service station on the new Main Street in 1929, as the number of cars had increased through the valley.
In 1905, Taylor Whittaker deeded a plot of ground to a group of local men who organized for the purpose of building a community center to have dances, plays, socials, entertainment, & large meetings. It was large and well-built. It had 2 stages on opposite ends of the floor. One stage with fine curtains was for plays that were popular then. The other stage was for the orchestra that played for dances. There was a large basement built for parties. This building located at 100 East 200 North burned down on November 7, 1918. It served the community well.
